That list is flawed/incorrect for some of them. Also, if they go by the statement that people have only read six books out of 100 on that list, then most kids can surpass most adults if they finished all seven books by JKR.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is the first book of seven for the Chronicles of Narnia series and shouldn't even be listed as standalone. Lord of the Rings is meant to be one book but published as three because apparently people didn't have the attention span for really length works of 1000+ pages in heavy prose. His Dark Materials is also three books (The Golden Compass, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass).
>_>
Seriously, BBC, for real?
(By the way, never read Atonement unless you want to strangle someone after reading it. I think that book pissed me off the most out of the ones I've read on that whole list, and that includes Madame Bovary.)
