Camp Notes
This is just me being particular about things and keeping track of what Machika has and does, as opposed to handwaving it.
Place of Residence:
Machika is currently staying in the Underground Labs with Yuca and Rain. I’m not sure how Yuca avoids Rain but he’s very good at it and Rain is dumb so it can’t be that hard. There are lasers or something guarding their door and there’s no way you can get in unless you have a key or a password or the proper biometric system or however Yuca does those smart things. (This is why Machika never invites friends over.) I’m pretty sure Rain’s biometric signature is not keyed in and the lasers shoot at him a lot.
She doesn’t actually sleep in the labs a whole lot! She kind of crashes wherever she is at the time, which is most likely with Ion, Zero, or maybe Claire, since I think those are the people she sees the most at night. But she makes a point of finding Rain and staying with him at least half of the week. Wherever that is, because I don’t know how Rain gets into the labs half the time. She banned him from Jade’s couch so if he’s sleeping there he’s going to get hit.
Pets:
Another thing is that Machika has Zol kitten which is her adorable shaggy black cat. He stays in the labs because that’s where she feeds him, but he runs around Camp on his own and occasionally follows her around. Most of the time he gets sidetracked playing with other cats and falling asleep in random sunny places. Whoever likes kittens would notice he runs around Camp a lot and isn’t afraid of people, but he will bat at you if you try to pet him. You can be near him or sit down next to him and he doesn’t mind, though. Tsun tsun tsunnn.
Daily Routine:
Machika tries to do something different every day! Doing the same thing over and over again is boring, especially after almost 9 months. But a few things are constant. When she wakes up in the morning she locates Zol kitten to feed him or make sure he killed a mouse or something. He likes showing her if he killed a thing so if she crashed at someone else’s place there is a chance they’ll wake up to dead mouse smell. Sorry about that. I mean, he eat the mouse so it’s not like it’s a problem anyways, right?
She always tries to eat meals with Rain! And since the Mess Hall food has been pretty terrible of late, she’s been making most of their meals too. Whoever is with her at the time also gets food, you don’t even have to ask. It’s not the greatest meal, but she’s been getting progressively better at cooking so it’s decent! Also she makes huge portions because she’s used to Rain’s appetite.
During the day she mostly talks to people and hangs out and just does things. People she’s talked to only once in threads she probably still talks to often enough around Camp! Even if it’s just to say hello or ask how their day is or smile and wave. And people she knows better she jumps a lot. If she isn’t doing something right at that moment, she will come looking for you. The Gingerbread Cabin is invaded at least once a day, if not more, because Alice lives there. Cabin McAvoy kicks her out when she tries to get in but she always goes past it just in case Leto’s coming outside. Whichever barn or cabin Claire’s tent is on top of, she will climb up it to find him. She passes by the UN Cabin to see if Cindy’s around. She will harass mounds of people in the library because she stops by there about once a week to look up books on immortals and mostly harass people there, like Haruki and Gara and Conrad and Maka and maybe Ruka if he’s hiding in there. She even climbs up to the Sunny a lot to find Vanya and play with her pets. She’ll goof off with Toboe if she sees him around. She stops by the music rooms sometime in the morning or afternoon to see if Jesse or Vanya are around. Tyson I bet you convinced her to play a game of beyblade once and she didn’t get it but that’s okay. Rory she totally flew kites with you and stops by the hospital to see if you’re there. Kida you owe her a match at that strength test at the carnival and she will whoop your butt. Luke, Zero, The Breeze, Kaito, Thor, Tsu-kun Tsuna, Elliot, Kazuki, and Hanna she will catch if she ever sees them running around Camp. Gosh am I missing anybody, she jumps everyone I’m not even kidding.
Jade and Sebastian are questionable since she probably just happens to run into them. She won’t actively seek them out because they both weird her out for different reasons, but she will still stop and talk to them! Actually scratch that if she sees Jade she talks to him, I am going to love the shit out of you because it will piss you off, this is the best plan. Magmahead she doesn’t seek out but if she sees him she will approach him and be all “YOU’RE BEING NICE TO ZERO RIGHT?” But after their last conversation I don’t think she hates him…as much.
Yuki she currently avoids like the plague. If he is a place, she is in another place that is not anywhere near that place or the telepathic hearing range of that place. This proves to be difficult when they have a large chunk of the same friends. Ruka, your fallback safety from being harassed is being with Yuki.
RAIN SHE STALKS YOU ALL DAY. Unless Rain gets lost or she loses him or something, which is probably often. But she also lets Rain do his own thing while she does her own thing, because as long as she knows she can find him again some space is alright.
When she actually finds people she will usually just talk to them, but a lot of the time she will also ask them to do something with her. She’ll play sports, spar, play video games, watch movies, play hide and seek, investigate the carnival, make food, play with animals, do arts and crafts, go exploring, and anything else you can think of to keep her occupied. Usually it’s something with an end result, but it doesn’t have to be as long as it keeps her busy.
She goes into the Caves of Despair to fight things more than she used to. Mostly because of boredom and needing exercise. Luke and Ion and Ruka you are her fighting buddies and you get no say unless you’re Ruka and cranky, but she will try her hardest to top you into it. I don’t know who else would go into the Caves of Despair with her, but if there are people who would then assume she goes with them too! She doesn’t go too deep and it’s mostly to make sure that the monsters don’t come out of the caves and attack campers. But on the occasion she’ll get really worked up and chase monsters down pretty deep, oops.
There are rare kinds of days when she will do something that involves sitting still. This is usually something like sewing or knitting or maybe playing a video game that she found in the labs. She has decided that if all of Yuca’s games slowly disappear from the labs, eventually he will come outside. It is the best plan ever and she hides the games in Alice’s room or Claire’s tent or somewhere else she knows she can find them again and Yuca won’t know where they are. Most of the time if she is sewing or knitting, she still likes to be around people. In these instances I just picture her being around Alice while she’s reading or Vanya while she’s practicing music unless Vanya is too embarrassed for that, basically she still wants to be near people even if it’s just a comfortable silence between them. This is also where Rain and Yuca come in because she can do anything around them and be fine with it, and she knows Yuca doesn’t like physical activity so this works just fine too. Just sit there, Yuca, its cool.
At nighttime she will look around for people like Ion and Zero or whoever is out at night, if this is Conrad too then she jumps him too. Oh yes she also keeps an eye on the vampires because she has taken it upon herself to. Unfortunately she doesn't know half of the people who are vampires and just defaults to "whoever is out at night is probably a vampire" which doesn't even matter because as long as they aren't killing people it doesn't matter. She likes being up on time so she won’t stay out too late, but on average she’ll be outside until nine or ten at night. Sometimes if she gets caught up in something she’ll stay out way later than that and just sleep in the next morning.
Inventory:
-I assume she has a bed somewhere in the labs, or she steals Yuca’s. I bet she bedninjas Yuca all the time when she sleeps in the labs unless he kicks her on the floor. ...Which is also all the time. So I take it back, she sleeps on the floor in the labs. No wonder she finds other places to sleep.
-One rather large scythe that she carries around with her 95% of the time.
-Kitten things for Zol kitten. This includes his food and his food bowl, and one or two little toys.
-The laptop she uses sometimes.
-A few extra outfits. By now she’s picked up around three extra skirts and shorts and tops and maybe another dress that looks like the one she wears on a regular basis.
-She kept a pair of ice skates from back during winter.
-The pretty dress and the pair of heels she wore to the soiree, and the tux she wore to the cross-dressers ball.
-Coat for rain/winter/cold weather. It’s the one she was wearing when she arrived in Camp, the one in her icons.
-Small recipe book of recipes she’s collected in camp.
-Scarf that Cinderella made for her.
-A few special items that she’s gotten from the Caves of Despair. She has no idea what to do with them so she keeps them in a box and asks Luke if he knows.
-Cinderella’s slipper gave to Taiga
-Things she wants: Probably a pair of cheap, sturdy sandals because it’s hot and summer and boots are sweaty so she’s been running around barefoot a lot.
Anything else I think of will get updated into here later. Tell me if I forgot things.
