Hmm...I think I've never felt particularly drawn to your Marcie, mainly because he is so fond of that shade of bubblegum pink that I've disliked since childhood. I like the overly full lips on Haika somehow, but on Marcie in that pink shade it makes me less desirous to look at him. I guess he seems more unnatural, and in a way he's a lot less sensual, at least when it comes to appealing to my tastes. I think he's also a bit hard to understand, we don't get many stories giving very many details about his personality that I can remember. He seems kind of cold to me. Does that make any sense? Also, I really hope this doesn't offend! *bows in supplication!!*

Hm, hard to understand? I can see why you would think that. I guess, what it comes down to is that not only do I not make many detailed photostories, but Marcie isn't even my character, he's my significant-other's character. The story that we developed between him and Haika is for the most part in written form and so I can understand why people wouldn't know anything about him *laughs* because I never really say much about him.

Yes, he's always in pink, but he just likes pink so....^^ I found it really interesting that you said he isn't very sensual, because sensuality is such a central part of his personality. It makes me wonder what I could do to bring that out more in him, do you have any suggestions? He is supposed to have a very female beauty, like Haika.

Maybe I should have a Marcie "question and answer" session here on LJ so everybody can get to know him XD

The question and answer doesn't seem like a bad idea, though maybe you could also do something like...mm...if Marcie filled out an LJ style meme for example.

I think that it's hard to say what could bring out his sensual side in photographs, because it's such a subjective thing. I think that part of Haika's charm is his tragic expression, which makes him seem very burdened by the world's woes and also gives him an intelligence about his face. Marcie's face seems a lot more neutral to me, so I don't really get any emotional feeling from him, which is a large part of sensuality for me. Emotion begets passion in most cases for me, you know?

Also, I think Marcie might look lovely with some of those large peach colored roses, with pink undertones. XP

I loved Marcie! I suppose I forgot that they were the same character when you got his new head and I haven't seen much of him since then. I love them lips on the new head, though.

Oh, I'm so glad you like him! I've become more and more interested in his character lately so I think you'll be seeing more of him.

Honestly? He's never seemed to have a whole lot of personality to me, and I'm not huge on the Iz sculpt. ^^;; I adore the sculpts of your others, and Haika's ANGSTTT

I think it might be a normal reaction to boys with long red hair. I have exactly the same problem with Kei: No matter how long it takes me to stage or how nicely I think the final pictures come out, he rarely gets more than one or two comments on DoA. If I take a totally random, badly lit picture of Katai, though, he gets plenty. It's kind of depressing, I agree. T_T

For the record I love Kun-Marcie, though. He's so sweet! *huggles*

This is so my favorite reaction, it was the wig all along! Seriously though, it's so depressing. I work harder on him than any of my other dolls, at least faceup wise. And I put so much effort into his pictures and despite all that, no one seemed to care. I kept thinking to myself: okay, so there are a million girly-boy ex-prostitue angsty dolls, so why is mine completely ignored??

I'm so happy you like him!! I'm going to fuss with his makeup a little more this weekend and take some more pics.
