For the past three nights, jack has been up every 30 minutes all night. Why? Maybe it's the new food, he started vegetables this week. He's gassy all night and farting himself awake and hysterical

You give them love and pats, lay them down. Night night. If they cry you wait 3 - 5 minutes, go back in, soothe them (no hugs) and then leave. Then if they cry wait 5-7 minutes, and so on, until they learn to soothe themselves.

My friend in Sarnia showed me, helped me and calmed me as I cried listening to my tired and crying daughter.
It really did work. It sucked at first but she learned.
Don't switch the light on and don't pick him up. Rub his back or belly and tell him mommy loves him. Then leave.
Yeah. It sucks.
