DeVotchKa and the Empathy Quotient

I saw DeVotchKa last night with two of my favorite people, facehead2k and Tracy. Apart from the scantily clad acrobatics, which were a bit much, the show was fantastic. It's so nice to watch musicians do what they do best and, as far as I could tell, fairly flawlessly. I got a 64. I think that makes sense, if maybe a little high. Do you? You say that Neil is a doormat and got 59, but I don't think of myself as a doormat...

Another acquaintance took it and got a 64, so you're probably sitting in an okay place. Your ability to empathize with something doesn't necessarily make you a doormat, but, if unchecked, I would think it could contribute to being taken advantage of.

I think the questions that got me were ones that said "You don't understand why people react emotionally."

i got 51. i have become more detached (although also more perceptive) at least about my students' feelings since i started teaching. i bet a year ago i would've scored higher....cool test though. thanks!
