Cantabile is actually right down your lane: it's about a young man (Who is absolutely so hot and gorgeous! He's gotten everyone's seal of approval! He kinda reminds me of a manlier version of Gackt) who wants to be an orchestra conductor because of his hero. It's complicated, but that's basically it. He meets this crazy girl who's absolutely adorably dorky and lame. It's all about music and orchestra and cuteness, so I think you'll like it.
