Today was my first day on the job, so it was actually training.  I'm working as an after-hours receptionist/cashier for the small animal emergency clinic, so pretty much triage, paperwork, money, and other boring stuff.  However, I was told that I'll get to see lots of cool stuff, meet lots of the doctors and start networking, so that's pretty cool ( Read more... )

that's exciting. It's really all about who you know in life anyway... so brown nose your way to the top.

vet corps? I think Patrick's ex girlfriend is doing Physical Therapy for the Army...i wonder if it's a similar thing. She's like married to them for i think it was 9 years, but after that she seems to be set forEVER. Well, I love you. the end.

Radiology eh? Why not mix work with pleasure and give yourself some super powers. You'd dominate that Army scholarship competition. Just be alert for Army funny business...unanswered questions and stuff...this one trainee I work with just got out of Iraq and is crazy through and through. Last week I said something apparently sassy and he grabbed my head and shook it real hard. (He also worked for the Post Office...hmmm...). "How does anyone live alone without pets"...Becky, you can be so insensitive! I suffer mucho...

No, it's not like that! They throw gobs of money at you, and I'll be totally elite because I'm a vet, so they won't ship me overseas unless I want to. I'd only owe three years, and at LEAST two of those would be practically wherever I want in the U.S. I might end up overseas the third year, but it's a very slim chance. Even so, it would be somewhere I wanted to go. I've talked to a couple people who have done it, and it's an immensely rewarding experience if you get the scholarship!
