Super long vacation post

Apr 10, 2006 14:21

Last week I made another sojourn out to the Mojave Desert. I swear it gets more beautiful every time I visit... I don't know how one can look at the desert and see nothing there. It's like being on another planet.

I was there to see Johnette Napolitano's April Fool's event in the middle of nowhere. Johnette had her art on display at The Read more... )

pix, j.n., vacations, birds, bands, l.a., desert

Oh my friggity frickin' GOD.

The third sunrise pic? With the Joshua Tree in clear view? KILLS ME. *tear*

The first Tron pics are amazing. There's like...no one around. Was J there? Letting you take pics?

Hah, you should chisel "Stefanie's" on those rocks.

And hey, I am not a thing!!!! Nah just kidding, I appreciate the thought. I was wishing I could be there the entire weekend. Thanks for calling; at least I could be there in spirit!

Now I return to the pics. To drool.

*swoons over Happy!Johnette*

Hmm. when I walked in there were only a few people in the 'tron itself. Most of the people that were there that early were over by the wine, and in that little courtyard of the office where the food was. The parking lot was completely full so I'm not sure why it looks so desolate in the pix (I like it that way, though!).

Johnette appeared out of nowhere (in true J fashion) just before she started her show. She did all her socializing afterwards. Mankey and Nan (your Coyote Fest rescuer) seemed to be acting as the cruise ship directors up until the show started, although the whole thing was pretty loose. Everyone was just wandering around taking it all in and meeting everyone else.

Catheryn's REALLY bad at introductions, btw. In case you hadn't noticed ;)

I should be putting your package in the mail tomorrow, btw. It's not perfect but it plays and my guess is that's all you really need right now! I'll let you know after I actually have it sent.

Oh, I am so jealous. We gotta talk...you comin' up here with Julee to see Tracii next month?

My parents moved to Lake Havasu, AZ. a couple of years ago so I'm becoming familar with the Mojave. It's beyond beautiful...sooo much to see, so little time. Some of my fave things are along Route 66 tho...

Yep I'll be there. I'll give you all the details you want if you'll tell me the story about grabbing Nikki's ass again!

Arizona is on my list of Places to Visit Sometime Soon. I'd like to drive the old Route 66 one day. That's one helluva road trip, though.

You don’t know me but I feel it is my duty to inform you of some facts regarding one of your friends here. I am doing this because he is on the prowl again after losing his latest girlfriend. The person you know as jj_maccrimon was messing around with a married woman. My wife. My wife is less then half his age and was at a vulnerable place when this started. This person uses their money as a way to entice young women and girls to him. It is my opinion that if he was a real man he would have waited till my wife and I where divorced before putting the moves on her. I also don’t see what a 42 year old is doing with a 20 year old. This person prays on those that are scared and vulnerable. I also know for a fact that 5 years ago he was sleeping with a 16 year old. So if you don’t have any problems with pedophiles or people that try to steal wives then by all means keep contact with this person. If you do I would suggest cutting off communication with them. I know some of you might be thinking “But what about there feelings?” or “it’s not ( ... )
