S/370 is really a 1960s architecture; basically amped-up S/360.

But you're ignoring vast swathes of competition. How about the Control Data machines, or Burroughs, or Univac or Cray? The list is endless.

Thank you. Sorry, I just know little about those titles. The IBM/370 was in active use in the 80s when the other regarded in the article architectures were in use too. This article is a material rather about period of the 1975-95.
