I was talking to a Chinese student here in Dublin, asking her about differences between Ireland an China and she did menton the AA system, which halso bermused meI was talking to a Chinese student here in Dublin, asking her about differences between Ireland and China and she did mention the AA system, which also bemused me! She later explained that it means to pay separately. I don’t know about this “go Dutch” expression either. I have rarely heard native English speakers using it.
