But there's another weirder feeling at the same time which is harder to describe, a rushing sensation where there should be a stabbing one. When she turns the needles one by one this is magnified like an electric shock.

That's what they call qi! Pretty amazing sensation, isn't it? If you practice tai qi or other similar arts, you can actually cultivate such feelings within yourself.

On the Dam: Well, one benefit of fascism is certainly that you can do whatever you want, concerns of the people be damned.

If Bill Bryson’s information is correct 20% of US graduates think the world is only 4,000 years old. When I heard this in a radio interview recently I stopped what I was doing and wrote it down! As Peter commented, that leaves plenty of job opportunities for science graduates from other countries!

Has anyone asked your classmates about their views on the “prosperity gospel” or the “End Time”? You might uncover some even more ‘questionable behaviour’! - I suppose it shouldn’t surprise us really given that lots of Europeans went to America in the first place because they had strong unconventional religious views.

I’ve mailed your gofree.indigo account recently but don’t know if you still pick up from there? My email address is available on the web if you google my name, one of the many entries in the list has my name and contact details!
