I think it's more likely a matter of coincidence and the inevitably of humans of different cultures and different times expressing the same sentiments.

Really? I think the wording is too precise for it to be coincidence. She was probably quoting the Book of Songs just like Joni Mitchell quoted the Book of Changes. Could ask her!
