So, Kiyumi-chan (
ssm_kiyumi ) managed to convince me to do a meme for the first time ever...and I found that, shockingly enough, I loved it. And I love blogging. So from now on out, from time to time, this isn't just a fic journal, this is a me-journal.
So under the cut is the meme.
And welcome, friends, to the world of Rie.
A) People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blogs & replace any question that they dislike with a new question formulated by themselves.
B) Tag 5 people to do this quiz & those who are tagged cannot refuse (refuse if you want to). These people must state who they were tagged by & cannot tag the person whom they were tagged by. Continue this game by sending it to other people.
01. What is/was your favorite show on TV?
Umm….Heroes? Or House? Or The Starter Wife (GOD, I’m such a girl). Or I don’t watch it on TV, but Gundam 00? =D?
*sigh* Isn’t he just brilliant?
02. What are you wearing at the moment?
A pair of jeans with one of the knees ripped up, a white v-neck short-sleeve shirt, my ‘Mark Cohen’ scarf (^_^, it’s my favorite scarf, my friend Matters gave it to me for Christmas last year because it looks like the scarf Mark Cohen wears in Rent and Rent’s one of my favorite musicals), and a gray v-neck sweater with the sleeves rolled up to my elbow.
03. What was the best part of your day?
Talking to Ai-chan (cue the ‘AWWS’) and getting a phone call from my Norwegian friend, Kristin, for the first time since June (I MISS HER SO MUCH).
04. What is your favorite dish to cook?
Curry Chicken, I guess. But I haven’t cooked that in years. So I love making a couple nice egg sandwich with three eggs and lots of curry powder, salt, and pepper on top, ^_^. It makes me feel like I can cook.
You haven’t truly lived if you haven’t had curry chicken.
05. What is your favorite drink?
Umm…definitely a bottle of Wawa’s double mocha frappucino. I drink those things like it’s a religion.
06. What do you drink the most?
Capri Suns (I don’t even like them that much….they just managed to magically appear in my hands…weird, huh?)
07. What is your favorite restaurant?
Umm…I don’t really have a FAVORITE restaurant, since I don’t go out to eat very often. But I have a lot of great memories attached to the local Friendly’s. And honestly, any Indian restaurant with a buffet attaches is pure ♥.
Friendly’s: A drama department’s best friend.
08. What will you be doing after finishing this?
Working on college applications, listening to White X’mas, eating oreos, watching random shows on TV…probably forcing myself to go watch the latest episode of 00 and then eventually going to bed.
No Sunday is complete without a half hour filled with Haros and giant robots.
09. What did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was younger, I wanted to be a chemist, like my dad.
Now, I want to work for the U.N.
But then, I also want to be a journalist. And a photographer. And a musician. And a film director (OH YESH). And a writer. All at once.
...
I'm complicated, =D.
But I guess what I want to be most of all when I grow up is a good person. That desire has never really changed, ^_^.
I see youuuuuu….
10. Your favorite movie?
>_<, now you’re just being cruel.
11. Which family member are you closest to?
Well, since I only have two family members that I know very well, I’m really close to my Dad…we watch movies together and go to the bookstore and eat out. But then, I do that with my mom too. So I guess contrary to popular belief, I’m totally close to both my parents (even if I don’t tell them everything).
12. What are you afraid of?
Losing more loved ones. And other people being mad at me. And being alone.
13. Favorite place to shop?
Urban Outfitters, definitely. I love their clothes and their hats and their scarfs and their accessories and their bedroom stuff and its just the poifect store. Though I also love American Apparel, F.Y.E. and Walmart (DON’T LAUGH) and Target and really, shopping is just fun.
My Christmas dance dress from American Apparel. Now, all I need to do is buy the dress ($43!!! ZOMG, Say what?!?), get the ticket, convince my mom to let me go and we’re solid, ^_^;;;;;)
14. Something that will most always irritate you?
Racism. Or any kind of prejudice against other people (go look up the clip from the Ellen DeGeneres show about Larry King’s, the 10-year-old homosexual child, death and just read the comments below it and you’ll see why I get so pissed off about this kind of thing).
…Or grammar mistakes. My eyes burn when I see grammar mistakes.
15. What's the meaning behind your LJ username/name/nicknames you go by?
I HAVE SO MANY NICKNAMES THOUGH!
T_T, okay…
Rie or Rie-chan - my current nickname. Shows my competitive side…and really, it’s short and sweet and I adore it, ^_^. - short for Rialle, which is my main female character’s name in the novel I’ve been writing for years. It’s actually a name of this character I adored out of a book called Song Quest. I fell in love with the name so when I started blogging again, this became my nickname.
live4dehmoment - It’s chat speak for ‘Live for the moment’, in case you didn’t notice (XD, I’m so bad at chatspeak so it’s cool if you actually didn’t notice). It’s my motto in life.
Teela or Teelz-chan - One of my old pen names on xanga. I actually stole it from the old He-Man show from a couple years ago because I absolutely adored the character with that name. My friend Jack still calls me this name because we’ve been friends since we were both on xanga and we still keep in contact via Facebook and AIM. He’s always sending me songs and he’s my little big brother. I adore that kid.
I wasn’t a big fan of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe but Teela always made me smile because I have such a soft spot for strong female characters. I love it when people, especially women, wake up and realize that they are strong.
I'd get into other nicknames because believe me, I haven't even grazed the surface of this subject with me. However, this kind of makes me uncomfortable because it's bordering on my real name. Hopefully, no one minds?
16. The last movie you saw and any stories you have attached to said movie: Technically Bruce Almighty since I was watching it just now. But the last FULL movie I saw was Quantum of Solace with my Dad yesterday. It’s always been a tradition with us to watch Bond movies (he got me into the series) and it was the first one I saw with him in forever…so I really loved it.
He doesn’t feel quite Bond-ish to me but Daniel Craig is frickin’HOT.
I also saw Madagascar 2 with him. I went to Miller’s Smorgasbord (possibly my favorite restaurant? It has such good macaroni and cheese…and these salty, buttery noodle things…ooo, sinful) with him and then we went to go see those two movies. And the day before that, I watched Ratatouille with him.
God, I love movies about food.
So I had a nice big Dad-filled weekend, which was awesome because I never get to hang out with him anymore. It was a really great day yesterday (until I got some news that kind of put a damper on things…and made me cry for two hours. But I’m not going to let that erase this memory. Having this much time to spend with my Dad yesterday…it was really precious to me).
