Thanks to hurricane Wilma, we were without electricity for 8 days. I've never felt so cut off from the rest of the world in my entire life. I feel like I just auditioned for Survivor and I didn't win a damn thing, except a tiny piece of my sanity. This hurricane season I've found that panic usually starts to set in around day 3. I tried very hard to listen to your phone message. I couldn't get it to work. It made me happy that there was at least a sign from you.

John has a friend that lives near Miami. I'm not sure where exactly, but he's been in contact with him. I could not believe the conditions he was describing. They didn't have water for a few days, no electricity, trees everywhere. I'm sure I'm not telling you anything new.

I'm glad you, Amie and Alex are okay.

I always appreciate your thoughts and prayers, Laura. I feel that you are my oldest and closest friend (in time known, not based on age;lol.) Our friendship has always been important to me and I definitely hope there is some way we can find to better keep in touch with eachother.
