The weather has been really beautiful this week. Alex was on vacation so we had time to look at some apartments. We decided we definitely want to stay in Broward County. Our apartments are being converted into Condos. This new management company has taken over and are making everyone's lives miserable. They are selling the condos for a ridiculous amount of money, so we are not even considering buying. Which means we have to move. Ughhh. We went to see Foo Fighters and Weezer last night in Ft. Lauderdale. The show was nearly 4 hours long, including all the set changes. A new band called Mae, opened the show. We thought they were pretty good. ( Review and pics )

Got the most beautiful pink and yellow roses this week. I can't seem to adequately capture the colors on film. I love them. &hearts

I find the government's painfully slow response to help the victims of hurricane Katrina disgusting and disgraceful. I thought it was bad when I couldn't wash my hair for 4 days last week because of the hurricane, but now I see just how lucky those of us in south Florida really are. Without a doubt, the Green Day concert on Friday night was the most amazing show I have ever seen. WOW. We had just been hit by hurricane Katrina the day before and had no power. Hurricane Katrina hit us Thursday and the transformers that control our power were stuck by lightening. We lost power around 6pm Thursday. Our power finally came back on around 5pm today (Sunday). The heat soon became unbearable. We had to throw out the entire contents of our refrigerator and there was nowhere left to get gas. By yesterday morning ( Read more... )
