I'm actually terrified to read the ending, if I'm being honest. Not because I feel that I'll be disappointed,(your writing is some of the best I've ever read, as is your plot), I'm just scared that I'm not going to like how this all turns out. I really loved this chapter, probably my favorite this far, and am very excited to see how you wrap everything up and tie it all together. I can truthfully say though, that TFS is my favorite Jack/Alex fic I've read. Hopefully I won't be crying, nor unsettled by the end of this, although that may just be what you're banking on? Ha, we'll see I suppose.
Without giving away anything anon, there probably will be people who might not like how it ends? I've accepted that. The way I see it is: I could give you a completely happy go-lucky ending and the pessimists would hate it for being unrealistic. OR, I could give you a frank and bitter ending and it would completely crush the optimists among us? It's got to be a mix of things

Oh please please let Jack be too attached to leave Alex! It is painfully obvious that they belong together! As for Rian/Zack, I hope they realize their own feelings for each other and also end up together. I know this is a long shot, but I'd also like to see an appearance from Sam, to maybe mend some fences, or at least let some things go. But of course, this is just my optimistic wishful thinking. I can't wait to see how this ends. I just know I'm going to cry again.
Thank you for mentioning Sam, I've been considering whether or not he should make an appearance in this story for a whole now actually. If he does, it will be in 14.3, but I make no promises!
I read this story a few months ago. I was curious because in more than one occasion it was mentioned as one of the best, if not the best, fic for the ATL bandom (or however you call it). So I gave it a try

Awh, I'm glad to hear you gave this fic another go! You're not the first to have a little trouble getting into it, I'll fully own up to the fact it's pretty slow-paced but I really wanted establish my characters before they got together--something I think happen way too quickly in most fics. I wouldn't say it's the best fic out there, but it means a lot you'd even suggest it
