By the by, during my little foray into the Fourth Floor I came across a novel I'm sure you'll recognize by the name of "Heat Wave". Bit of an odd find, all things considered.

That's exactly what I was wondering. Especially since it seemed to have been written a couple of centuries before my time and, no offense, I wouldn't have pegged it as timeless classic.

I did read some, actually. Kept me from being bored to death. Tell me, did Nikki get her name from the book or was it the other way around?

[Either answer offers a rather... unique and unexpected view into the world of those two. Unless the answer is 'it's just a coincidence' but he doubts Rick would go with anything so boring even if it was the truth.]

Not a total waste. Still odd experiencing only a 1/7th of the time you're going through, but I suppose it is better than nothing.

Oh right, and I see that Kagerou already told you about those rip things in the Yard, but you should be really careful of them. I threw a few things into them but they just disappeared like they never existed at all. They're probably dangerous.
