I've always wanted to do this, but most times you must already have a completed journal to do this, and this is the first community I've seen where you get advanced notice and time to do it. I will say that I am an all text journaler, I have made attempts at more creative ( Read more... )

I'm using a comp book as well and decorating. When I'm tight on cash I decorate with things like wrapping paper scraps, magazine clippings, brown paper bags. I'm sure you'll figure something out! I am also very excited to get started!

I'm a text-only journaler as well. But when I did this the first time (and with my personal journals) I would find things to stick in it like ticket stubs or programs or receipts. Just to mix it up.

Something one of my partners liked about my journal was that on occassion, I'd ignore the lines and write diagonally on the page or even sideways. It was still just text, but made it interesting to look at. :)

I hope you really enjoy this project!

the sideways and diagonally sounds great, I'll probably end up doing it to mix it up thanks :) A second journal, I'm not really sure if I want to keep a second journal. I'm seriously considering just using my lj as a second journal, and paste them into my journal, just so it can look like I wrote, and create a time line for my journal. Not to sure yet...

I am using a comp book too. I find them easy to work with. Not sure what route I will take with my journal yet but I will try to stick to just text if I can. It all depends on my partner. I do have tons of scrapbooking stuff and I can always print from the computer. My concern is shipping since I like to stick everything I can in it. XD
