My poor computer

My poor computer is seriously on the fritz and will be dead in not too long. Which prompted me to buy an expensive flash drive (not so expensive after the rebates come back) so I could save all of my precious data. Unfortunately, I won't have enough money to get another one in the next year or so, likely. So it will be alright, but not ideal. But

do you know if it's all of the computer or just a part? Mine was tweaking something wicked and I also bought a nice big flash drive (esp since I dont' have a cd burner), but I guessed the problem was just my hard drive. I bought a new harddrive and it only cost me about $55 including shipping. now my computer is happy and smiling again and it occasionally even sings and dances.

Well ... I figure my computer is 4 years old and even if I bought a new hard drive, it wouldn't last too much longer. I'm tempted to just wait until I can afford a new one in about a year and then just get a nice one. We'll have to see ... but I'll definitely look into the new harddrive. Thanks for the suggestion.

Oh, one more thing. Do you know if anyone at MHC is laying out the labrynth for the greater community? If not, you should bring it up to the PWC and see if anyone is interested. I don't think most people in the PWC were even on campus when we were putting it out for a couple of hours every Friday.

Yeah, exactly. It's kept all rolled up nicely in a bag right behind AIS (not where the closets are, before that, where the shelves are when you head back to the closets). And we used to just lay it out in AIS and publish that it was there from like 2-4 on Fridays in the CSJ and sometimes people would come and walk it,

If you are looking to get a new machine in the near future I've been hearing really good stuff about the new MacBooks. Just thought I'd toss in my two cents.

Also, if there's anything wrong with the machine you have and you want someone to work on it drop me a line. I'm still in WA so I could head north and see what I can do to prolong your computer's life.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I just need a new harddrive and I'm still deciding whether to spring for that or just wait until I can afford a nice computer. I certainly can't afford much more than a cheap harddrive right now.
