Some of you have known me for a really long time. And some of you who have not known me for a really long time still know that my entire life I've wanted to grow up and help people. I focused so much energy on learning how to be in service to others throughout my adolescence ( Read more... )

Dear PWC (and PWC friends) now:

Gee, I love living on this here Goddess community. With farming and a big community kitchen... Our lovely birth center, our Moon Lodge, our labyrinth. It is so nice to walk everywhere and hear laughter. And our rituals, both private and with one another, blending together the living myth of our work here.

Love,
PWC (and PWC friends) in the future

Krystel, you are an amazing person. And it's fine to find that what you want and need in life has evolved from when you were younger. You can look for ways to combine your desire to help others and a desire to be one with nature- I know here there are programs where inner city youth work on a community garden or do other outdoor activities. (A quick search online came up with http://www.youthfarm.net/ and http://ico.sierraclub.org/northstar/index.html) Maybe you could find something like that?

PS- Matt was looking at my friends page, and he got super excited to read that you wanted to do raised garden beds- he really wants us to have a garden and is really interested in doing that...and that got me talking about how wonderful you are and how fantastic Washington is...and we are trying to find a way to come visit. :)

Yaay! We would love to have you.

There's a thing here in Seattle called Youth Garden Works that does pretty amazing things teaching teens to garden in an urban environment. Maybe next year ...

We had raised bed when I was a kid. I remember planting corn in a field my parents had cleared, growing tomatoes, carrots, and zuchinni in the raised beds, and strawberries in the strawberry rings. It was a really integral part of me living in the woods.

My parents are coming Friday to move big stuff. Can we get a futon from you on Friday sometime after 12 noon?

Give me a call and let me know.

I have 2 MHC friends visiting this weekend and I'm so excited and thrilled. We'll see if we can't fit you in too - otherwise we can do early next week,
