Spider Man and Planned Parenthood!

Much to my surprise, I found out today that in the 1970s, Spider Man and Planned Parenthood collaborated on a comic strip. It's pretty incredible. Read it here.

Queer comics ... Since I already know that you're a fan of Alison Bechdel, we can skip that. Do you know about Kris Dresen? Check out Max and Lily and some of her shorts are good.

There's also Nowhere Girl which is a well-drawn coming out story.

Liliane, Bi-Dyke is cute, as is anything by Erika Moen, who, incidentally, lives in Portland. She's one of my favorites. DAR: A Super Girly Top Secret Comic Diary is great, as are her shorts.

Joan Hilty writes Bitter Girl.

And finally, as far as I can tell, Dicebox by Jenn Manley Lee is not always explicitly gay, but the two main characters are women (although one has pretty ambiguous gender), it's a great sci-fi, and there is definitely queerness implied.

Bet you didn't know I was such a geek, did you? I blame 2ce and others of his ilk (errr, his brother) for starting me down this crazy comic road.

Are you serious? Wow. I can't wait to hear this story!

Sorry my comics are all dyke-leaning. Not that surprising, really, but not very broad for you.
