20/20 recently did a special on Orgasmic Birth to coincide with the release of a documentary by the same name. You should definitely go and check it out here - just remember to ignore the annoying journalist and focus on those amazing families.

Thanks for sharing the 20/20 clip! I've had other LJ friends talk about 'Orgasmic Birth', but never really read up on it. Interesting stuff. Ah, it's nice tangentially knowing so many midwife-centric people. Although, when I have my first kid in a few years, it'll be interesting meshing my hippy granola natural birth hopes with those of my (now) med student husband...

You should read (together if he ever has any time) anything you can get your hands on by Christiane Northrup. She's an OBGYN with a very holistic view of birth and women's lifecycles. It might help bridge the gap a bit.
