Has anyone trying to vote in the Labour Leader Contest managed to receive their ballot or have you been kicked out for 'not being Labour enough'?! Check out #labourpurge on Twitter for more examples

I'm not, but I have never been a Labour supporter. I have to say though that if Corbyn wins I will be considering it very carefully. He's saying a lot of things I agree with.
I don't approve of this way that you can pay £3 and then get to vote. Voting should be restricted to party members only. If people want to sign up as members because they are inspired by Corbyn (or another candidate) then fine, but this £3 thing strikes me as very open to abuse, as we are now seeing. I doubt there is any way they can actually vet all of the 200,000 people who have signed up to vote.
The problem might be that be that the Labour Party would have more members if it lowered if fees. It is doubtful that a few members of other parties would have a material impact.
"It is doubtful that a few members of other parties would have a material impact." - Great point, the winner still needs to win 50% of the overall vote, let's not forget.
I think that a lot of people who have never voted Labour will be considering so for the first time, which are the people being lumped in with the alleged other party 'intruders'.
Labour were very blasé and assumed there wouldn't be such interest, which is very depressing, in a way!
I'm not a member but qualify through Union affiliation, which is another rule change Labour themselves brought in.
So basically Tories have been signing up in order to sabotage the vote somehow... I'm assuming they'd vote for whoever they think stands the least chance in an election against the Tories, but that seems a tough call to make at this early juncture. While Corbyn is the furthest politically from the Tories, and the easiest for the right-wing press to vilify as a "leftie loon", he's also potentially the one to incite a rallying of working class voters who had grown disgruntled with Labour.
A very small number have been. Most of the newbies seem to be left thinking people who Labour weren't left wing enough under Blair for, so returning voters from Lib Dems, plus a LOT of young voters, previously uninterested in two very similar leaders.
Ironically, Corbyn for Labour is following a similar trajectory to Thatcher (of all people) with The Tories; as she was seen as too right wing to lead the UK and would NEVER win a leadership contest (never mind a General Election!) when she was announced as running. Funny that...
