Yeah, it was actually hilarious in how unapologetically blunt they were with laying everything down. At least they didn't even try to pretend that they were being subtle with things.
I liked "It's Not Unusual" the best, because I thought Darren Criss really took it and ran with it in a fun way, and "You Can't Stop The Beat" was good at setting the bar for things to come. The other numbers I can't really remember anymore, but I guess they were decent.

I wasn't sure if I was going to recap Glee again, but then I realized I really do enjoy doing the recaps so for now I will.
I think the low ratings for this episode (apparently? I don't pay attention to that, so I have no idea there) could be a good wake-up call for the Glee people - Ryan Murphy in particular - that they need to keep tighter control on things or people will just stop tuning in. I think this episode did a lot of cleaning up from the mess of last season, and hopefully they get the ball rolling in the subsequent episodes.
Haha, I'm glad to be passing on my love of the band! They're just so adorable and mysterious. They're always there! And no one notices them! It's such a mystery!
But am I going to have to make up a name for the Mark Cohen Clone on the
Dude, the double take I just did. Anyways, I'm glad to see you back and recapping Glee! Do you stay 100% spoiler free? I'm trying to give up spoilers. It's hard.
He seriously looks like a young Mark Cohen. Or the Anthony Rapp version of Mark Cohen, at least.
I stay as close to 100% spoiler-free as I can. I do go on Tumblr a lot, though, so every now and then a post about Glee pops up. But they're usually minimal things, like a song preview that I ignore. I have learned not to go on Tumblr the day after Glee airs if I haven't watched watched the episode yet, because then my dashboard is just swarmed with things about it. But yeah, almost completely spoiler free. I find it pretty easy because speculation never gets you very far, considering how frequently Ryan Murphy changes his mind about things.
I've ruined myself with spoilers, so I'm pretty much quitting Tumblr. Knowing what happens beforehand is no fun :( I got major spoiled for episode 5 yesterday and now I wish I hadn't. I usually listen to the songs, though. Maybe I should quit that, too. How do you make it through hiatuses without reading spoilers?
I stopped listening to songs beforehand because they get cut down for episodes, and I used to get all bummered out when I knew what the song sounded like in its entirety but had to watch/listen to a chopped up version in the episode.
Honestly, I don't fixate on Glee very much. I watch it for the numbers, and out of curiosity that they could recover from Season 2, and because I do still want to see Santana and Karofsky at more self-accepting stages in their lives (but I'm not holding my breath). But when Glee isn't on, it's out of sight, out of mind, and I just shift my attention to other shows. For all that I get riled up when I watch Glee sometimes, I'm a very casual watcher.
