OFFERED: autographed books

Oct 21, 2008 11:23

I'm offering two autographed trade paperbacks of my novel Juniper, Gentian, and Rosemary. I'm sorry they aren't hardcovers, but they are pretty rare. I have seen other people posting offers, so I assume the rules are the same. I'm about to edit the offer, however, to provide a deadline and a minimum bid. Donate your money to the same organizations, I think. I'd better check that out, too. Sorry to have rushed in. Back soon.

Yes, that's fine.

I would bid, but I already have a pristine and much-loved copy in hardcover!

Hmm, I just noticed it's Oct 22. Does that mean I missed the deadline, or that I got one? :) And do you have a preference between the two donate links?

Well, I only see two bids, and also I sent myself back a week in time and thought the 21st was next Tuesday, so on the whole, I say you got one.

Equality for All is the quintessential organization, I think, if I had to offer an opinion. NoOnProp8 has done some good work too. I'm not sure they were in the original auction as a possibility, though.

Woot! equalityforall.net appears to be a different sort of site, and equalityforall.com just forwarded to noonprop8.com. So I just donated $30 to the latter; let me know your address and I'll forward the confirmation mail?

Thank you!

Very belatedly, I came back around to look at this site (I was one of the sellers in the summer) and I saw this listing! I just wanted to say that Juniper, Genetian, and Rosemary is one of my most closely-held books; it means a lot to me, emotionally, and was gifted to me by a very dear and close friend at a turning point in my life. So I'm very happy to see it mentioned anywhere - and just wanted to let you know that I really liked reading it!

Thanks for taking the trouble to say so. It's really my favorite of all my books, so far, but it only sold about two thousand copies, so it isn't even in line to be reprinted.
