Over the next four years, you are going to learn more about yourself as a person and as an artist than you knew possible. Laura's right--in two years, this moment isn't going to be important in the slightest. You have to trust your faculty, and you have to trust yourself, that if you want this bad enough you and they will get your dancing to where it needs to be. It's hard to come from being at the top to being normal and average. But that doesn't mean you won't climb back up there again, and that process is going to be incredibly rewarding. So enjoy class, love dancing, and don't think about product. The roles you dance now have nothing to do with the roles you'll be dancing in 2, 5, or 10 years. But the work you do now will. Just trust yourself, and hang onto what really matters-that you love what you're doing.

Tara, I love you~!

You are amazing. Don't doubt that. Unfortunately there are people who sometimes dont have a true passion and love for things but they just happen to be good at them. center stage anyone? but if you have a burning desire to do something, you'll do it. i think we all have faith in that. so sugar plum or no sugar plum, be glad that you are getting the opportunity to do what you love everyday. it takes most people a long time to find that. it's your first semester of freshman year, you have time to shine my darling. one tondu at a time. :]
