I hardly ever write in here, and I think that's because this is the place that I'm the most honest, and it can be so hard to be honest with yourself. But sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and put it all out there in order to process everything and work through it ( Read more... )

I don't think there's anything wrong with living with your parents. In most countries that's what children do. I loved living with my dad and I still spend a night or two there a week. I lived there as a college graduate, a wife and a mother. It wasn't like I depended on my dad to handle my responsibilities as much as I just liked having him around. I liked to be able to see him and know he's doing well. If I didn't live there he'd be all alone and he'd have a big house with no one but him. We both liked to have one another there. Now I spend almost every day to every other day there and I sleep over. Maybe just trying some different jobs would help? You could just see what's available and see what you like. When I started social work I thought I wanted to help children. Now I want to work with adults. I thought I wanted to work with the elderly but now I'm liking the mental health field. Life is fluid and sometimes just going with the flow helps the best. You can always try something and see what your good fit is. You like working ( ... )
