EUPHEMIA.
In his world, she's already gone. In her world, she's still herself. In Death City, Suzaku's more than happy to go with her world. It's a bit convoluted; he'll do literally everything for her, while at the same time thinking of her more and more as something above himself. Every time they talk, he gains just that much more self-hate, too. He wants to run away, maybe take some actual time to process that she's alive and not going anywhere, but he's sure she would find that too suspicious. And so... it goes on.
CLOVIS.
It's true that he's largely being kind to Clovis because the prince is Euphie's brother, but the more he gets to know the man, the more he thinks of him as a little kid that isn't really ready for the world. He also feels a bit bad, knowing that the prince dies-- and maybe feels a bit better, being around someone who acts like a normal Britannian-- so he'll bow down and help the prince any time he's asked to.
PRUSSIA.
His first impression of him was of a soldier hurt by the war, released from the medical clinic. His second impression was of a... mentally unstable person wandering too far from their asylum. The second impression's never really faded, and to this day, Suzaku might treat him a bit like a kid, even if he knows Prussia's not really completely unstable.
OHURA.
She seems a bit... sad. But Suzaku's not quite sure how to help her out other than talking with her, and so he'll keep with that. Conversation with her is light and simple-- enjoyable, really, with everything else going on.
ALLEN WALKER.
One of the first very helpful people he met, Allen is a mix of gratitude and unease. Appreciation because he understands the other boy's been through war at a young age and seems to know when not to ask further; unease because that kindness is naturally off-putting.
SABER.
Very mannered and old-fashioned. Suzaku appreciates that. She seems to have had a rough (and odd) life, but she doesn't seem to really know the scope of it. He's fine with training and talking with her, since she doesn't pry in any kind of way. And she's really handy with a sword, even if it's in the Western style.
TSENG.
"Shao." Serious, business-like and uptight. He's ridiculously easy to get along with. Suzaku doesn't ask any prying questions, and Tseng does the same. He thinks it's a bit silly, the way Tseng tries not to appear suspicious, but to each their own. After drinking Aerith's concoction and being kept from dying from Tseng, Suzaku has a bit more appreciation for the man.
ROY MUSTANG.
A fellow worker at the Detective Agency, the most Suzaku sees of him is collecting lists of various aspects of people. That's... potentially worrying, but he's relatively sure the man isn't harmful. He'd ask, but it isn't his place - besides, Roy's also very direct and to the point with easy-to-give questions, which is nice.
MUKURO ROKUDO.
Oh, Suzaku knows what Mukuro is. A cat with in a pen of mice, playing around until something that truly catches his interest appears (something that can't possibly be good). Mukuro's not as aggravating as he might want to be, though; instead, he's just someone Suzaku plans on keeping a close, close eye on. From the side lines or far away, it doesn't make a difference.
N.
Secretive and seeking information. Not a good combination, in most cases, though Suzaku's willing to play along. He gives "N" respect and answers the questions he asks - that's all.
MINATO ARISATO.
A bit spacey, with a strange thought process and possibly traumatized backstory. Whatever the story, though, Minato means well, which makes all the difference, even if he is firmly in the 'weird, dreamy' category. Another person Suzaku vaguely feels as if he's a little kid, there to be protected.
SHAYMIN.
It's rude to say, but Shaymin's a bit like a pet. A pet that could talk. A slightly demanding, innocent, energetic dog with high intelligence. Extremely nice to have around and just be by, because of this.
USAGI TSUKINO.
[gone.] She's peppy and upbeat, and also the first Meister Suzaku tried to resonate with. It didn't work out very well at all, but he was happy to meet someone who was well-meaning without being overbearing.
RAIDOU KUZUNOHA.
The owner of the Detective Agency, Raidou is someone Suzaku knows is capable, if maybe too restrained in his actions. That isn't exactly a bad thing, except for the fact that he now knows the detective keeps blame and fault to himself. All Suzaku knows to do in return it try to stand by the man and help would when he can. The other's affinity for cats... sort of helps that.
NEKU.
A boy he exercises with, Neku is the silent-but-undoubtedly-normal type, and that's... really strange to act along with. He tries to help the boy out whenever he can and not refuse his requests. There's vague worry over him, too, since he tends to keep things to himself, but Suzaku won't push.
RAIMUNDO.
Loud and verbose, Raimundo is... someone to go along with and not fight against. The other's amiable confidence really strikes Suzaku as amazing, and he definitely values the other as a helpful person to keep around, though maybe not a friend. That's mostly because of Suzaku's standards for a "friend," though.
ENGLAND.
The-- parallel country of Britannia? Only a lot older, and no longer an empire. Suzaku thinks him polite and resourceful, but thanks to Italy's warnings and his own misgivings about anyone that might have been an empire, he's a bit on the cautious side. Mostly respectful, though.
SOUTH ITALY.
Brash and on the blunt side, it's kind of surprising that they get along. Suzaku made sure to be respectful and polite to the other, and it seemed to help their relations a lot - now, he even feels somewhat relaxed around Romano, and for all of the other's zealousness, he's actually easy to hold conversations and ask things about him. He's definitely someone that Suzaku likes to be around.
KANDA.
It's an odd relationship with this one. Well, actually, not really-- Suzaku'd call it 'pleasant,' if only because their acquaintanceship was born purely of business (handing over a carnivorous plant) and tended to stay on the safe side of 'comfortably away from any actual personal details.' Kanda was a bit rough, but as long as Suzaku remembered to curb his words (another pleasant thing to do, since it didn't mean faking too much of a smile), they got along just fine. The man wasn't all that bad, either.
AMERICA.
A bit on the ditsy side, with ideas and optimism that flowed too far and too fast. America was overwhelming at the same time as being easy to rebound off of; Suzaku enjoys helping him out when he can, even if that help goes somewhat unacknowledged. It's a good sort of overwhelming.
JAPAN.
Hm. Hm. Hhhm. For supposedly being his country, Japan was very... off-kilter. Suzaku's found himself consoling the other more than he'd like to admit. He didn't press, though, so he was fairly simple to avoid. And avoid Suzaku did.
HUNGARY.
He finds her to be a capable and stable woman, though also someone who doesn't mind to be looked after once in a while. He can't say he entirely likes her questioning back, but she's kind without being overbearing, and that's really appreciated.
PHAROS.
Strange, strange, strange boy. Or, er, Death. Bit old to be just a boy. But even if he was technically ageless, he acted like a normal boy (aside from the weird midnight visits and topics that went places Suzaku didn't appreciate), and Suzaku felt a bit protective over him, if only because the kid didn't seem to understand his own feelings at all. He'd like to help more, but Pharos is a maze that he isn't really sure what to do with, aside from stick by and hope to strike the right answers to those leading questions.
