I've thought about a bread maker does it really save a lot of money to make the bread verses buying a loaf? And is this counting in premade mixes or is this from scratch?
It's from scratch, the breadmaker comes with a whole book of recipes for different kinds of bread.
Making a plain white or whole wheat loaf is cheaper, though I've never done a specific comparison for the other loaves. I would think that since you pay a premium for specialty loaves, making them yourself would still be cheaper.
I also like knowing that there are no extra ingredients in our bread, plus you're not paying for packaging or the labour of other people making it.
