I've been itching to start about 5 new knitting projects, especially since gwensmom gave me so much of her unraveled-sweater yarn stash, but I promised myself I'd reduce the stash of UFOs first. Here's the one I'm working on now:

It's mercerized cotton in navy. off-white, and beige. It's nice and shiny, but it's also multi-stranded which means lots of yarn-splitting is going on. Hopefully I won't have to rip it again.

I've enjoyed my vacation thoroughly, with a visit to the wine country that left us all groaning (hmm, I guess I should have posted about that...), but have just started an on-campus job, which is the only kind I can get under immigration law. It's a research position, which I hope will help me figure out whether I'd enjoy grad school. I think I would, but I have been wrong before. So no classes for me. :)
