I found out because of Fowler's tweets. I felt my phone vibrate, looked down to see Robbie tweeting about Carra, and then I just burst into tears at my desk.

I knew it was coming, but FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK I did not want it to happen.

I will always love and will forever miss him on our pitch. Not only as a player, but a TRUE LEGEND in every sense of the word. <3 YNWA

I was nearly crying on the train when I read this. I wasn't going to actually break down on a train though, that'd be weird.
He's been my favourite player for over ten years, I got his name on the back of the new shirt despite protestations of 'why don't you get Gerrard/Torres/Owen/Suarez/someone who's not on the back end of their career?' and I'll really, really miss him.
Making the back line nervous and jumpy with his shouting. Talking back to reporters. Our top goalscorer for the wrong end. God, I'll miss him.

I've just realised that this means Carragher might be on MOTD more often next to Lily Robbie Savage. GET INNN! Aaahh I can't wait!!!

The fact that Carra is one of the top scorers against Liverpool in the PL will never stop being hilarious to me :P

It's just so weird picturing a Liverpool FC without Carragher. Of course I know he hasn't always been there how ever much it feels like it and it's not that big of surprise but... it's really weird picturing Liverpool without Carra.
