I found the same thing happening in my head, and have decided to just cover my ears and say lalala until it's over in a couple of weeks. Luckily shift work means this is quite feasible.:P

That sucks. Our old landlord was terrible about that sort of thing, and then had the gall to complain if we didn't fix stuff that was our responsibility immediately.

I am not idealistic about the olympic games at all but I do remember them feeling a bit personal when they were in Sydney, and I can imagine how I would have felt if we used them as an excuse for badness *has flashback to how pissed off I was at the government in 2000. So yes*
