That's lovely. I like the feeling of quietness, reassuring rituals and domestic happiness, all the little kind gestures through which Sherlock shows his love for John, and the fact that, for once, normality is not boring for Sherlock because it means John being safe. And the contrast between Sherlock's underlying anxiety and John's happy obliviousness. Thinky is good indeed ! :-)

Ooooh, I am such a fan of yours! You are, indeed, the most visual writer in this fandom, and I am in awe of your skills. Reading this I'm reminded why I love your art so. Like Sherlock you seem to have an appreciation for the softness of the human form (my own preference over the stylized buff versions of these guys).

If I have to choose a favorite line: "That he grins and laughs and frowns and his face, softer now, is animated and so much more alive than that awful frozen photo."

Best part about this is Sherlock's complex thoughts/motivations. While he's jealous of the photo (not his memories), his other motive for "feeding up" John and softening his shape is that John is truly happier that way. So, you've achieved both a selfish and sweetly caring and sentimental Sherlock. Well done, you!!!
