Oooh, it hurts, it makes you wince. It's really the moment he's shot. The spatters of blood are striking, red shows up so well against this background. I like John's expression, and the fact that he's already on his knees, as if he was treating a wounded man. It could be an over-dramatic moment but you made it plain and sober and it's all the more impressive.

Be brave, John, this wound will bring you to Sherlock (damn it, I'm going mushy). And, er, don't judge me please, but when I read the title, for a second, I expected a completely different kind of impact ! Sorry. :D

Thank you! I realise it's a bit not my usual stuff, but I just wanted to see if I could do it.

I like to think he was shot treating someone, that he would be brave enough to go out into danger like that to save a life.

It's my headcanon that he was shot helping someone, so I'm glad it looks like that. I wanted to keep it a bit ambiguous though :)
