I thought of you when I thought of putting the skull in there. He needed something to uh... do with his right hand.

Ostensibly it's a nod to Renaissance art and a symbol that his friend is away and he's lonely but really I just didn't want it to look like he was having a quick one.

And I know what you're thinking. I do. I had reasons.

Though, is it just me, or is most of that sneakycigarette!BADSHERLOCK!WHERE ARE YOUR PATCHES? thing ash? I mean, filters aren't usually that long, so it must be a giant length of ash that built up as he stared off into nothingness, all pensive and brooding.
