A rose by any other name...

He brought me flowers today. Not just any flowers, but my favorite, a dozen roses. He didn't know this, but it's my idea of the most romantic gift ever. After years of hoping for an occasion special enough for someone to bring me flowers, it finally happened. And for no particular reason...just because he thinks I'm beautiful. ROSES?!?!? darkmuse420 December 28 2004, 18:30:39 UTC
Oh wow, that is so romantic. No one has ever bought me roses...well Rick bought be orchids and that is fine with me because I love orchids. Anyways, I'm glad you found someone who pays attention to the small romantic details. You and Matt need to come hang out sometime soon. Fun times. I'll talk to you later.

orchids are awesome, i think they're very unique! (they were also kurt cobain's favorite flowers.) we should defintely plan a new year's party if you're not busy, i think it would be so much fun. i'll talk to you before then...

Actually, I tried the roses and flowers and chocolate thing many times, but it doesn't have quite the impact when you're a guy dating a lesbian...

Ah. It's not that lesbians don't like flowers, it's the fact that you're a boy? Well, take heart. At least you tried. When I ask for five years in a row for "a flower", not even a dozen, and "that person" still couldn't figure it out, there's something inherently wrong about that relationship, especially when I find stupid reason after stupid reason to give him sentimental gifts and also notice the subtle clues about what he wants without being asked. Then some new guy comes along and does it without being asked, and before we've had sex, without the promise of it ever even happening! Wow. My faith in the male species has been restored. Give the next non-lesbian you see a flower...you may be surprised by the results. Hehehe.

I just might do that. In fact, I'll even write poems for the next one!

Oooh! I could write poems about flowers!

How's this:

A lady stepped into the shower,
Bathed and scrubbed for an hour;
She used Oil of Olay
And Tresseme'
Till she smelled like a freshly picked
chrysanthemum.
