Jacob had been on the way back from lunch when he remembered that he hadn't seen Didi yet since the invasion. Making sure his big sib was actually still in one piece seemed the right thing to do.
He knocked lightly on the door and pushed it open far enough to be able to look into the room. "Hey, Didi."
"That might have been why I mentioned them," Didi admitted freely, and shifted on the bed so there was more room if he wanted to sit. "Yeah, I got through fine. I spent some time in Caritas and helped Jono clean up the library. How'd you make out?"
She gave him a sheepish look. "I feel like I should be the one checking up on you."
