Time to update

Having two fully mobile children is exhausting fun. Talia wasn't particularly destructive, but Christopher is after everything he can find, and has already managed to break a few things. We call him "Christopher Foo Foo" as he has this habit of bopping us on the head with a plastic hammer and giggling madly to himself. (See http://www.youtube.com/Read more... )

Didn't take your son long to figure out you can smack people as well as things with a toy hammer. Sounds like your home life now resembles a re-enactment of the beginning of 2001: a space odyssey :-) Has he assaulted the cats yet? Or do they get respect as a fellow predator? When does he declare war on the competing tribe of primates next door?

As an under-5 I used to jump up and down on the family dog's belly - it's a good job she was tolerant - shouting 'Bounce! Bounce!'. I also tore around the flat in one of those wheeled walkers smashing into furniture. I can't recall breaking much - I got into that later ;-)

We found Christopher tonight sprawled over Quincy, who was just lying there purring!

His current habit is walk around, point at objects then engage in deep conversations with us - it's all gibberish, but he's clearly trying to tell us something!
