Reaction to "Original Song"
So this whole post will be obnoxiously grammar-less and probably about 20% or more of the text will be caps-locked. You have been warned.
OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD OMIGOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FINALLY!!!!
THE KISS! OH MY GOD THE KISS WAS PERFECT AND BEAUTIFUL AND SO MUCH LOVE AND WOW!!!!
KLAINE! KLAINE! OMIGOD KLAINE! IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING, I FEEL LIKE I'VE BEEN WAITING FOREVER!!!!!
I should probably calm down now and actually post things that I noticed about the episode. To be perfectly honest I didn't really care about anything except the Klaine love. Basically the fact that the episode opened with Misery (which was SO MUCH LESS disappointing than Animal even if it didn't have context because following it the whole episode was just a whole bunch of Klaine-y goodness) made me so entirely Klaine oriented that every other scene with every other character was just getting in my way. I do love Finnchel, but I couldn't bring myself to care BECAUSE OF THE KLAINE!!!
I literally vibrated through the whole episode. Every commercial break I had to stand up and scream just to release all of my tension and exitement.
So, Blackbird, wow. Blaine's face made me melt. Watching him fall in love with Kurt was so amazing and beautiful. My progression of thoughts went something like this:
"Blackbird time, okay... Kurt sounds really lovely... oh Blaine looks sad, he probably feels bad for being Mr. Solo all of the time... Oh Blaine's singing back-up for Kurt, that's so sweet! What was that? Blaine's not singing... he's staring at Kurt... oh my god... no way... that's it! Oh my god finally! He's so in love. Oh my god he's smitten!" Commence squealing and attempting to continue to pay attention to every expression on Blaine's face.
Pretty much for the whole scene with the discussion of the duet I was going: "Oh Blaine, you're so adorable and not subtle at all. Look at you wanting to sing with Kurt, oh you're so precious!".
And then we come to THE SCENE. Darren was so amazing in this scene. I could practically feels Blaine's heart racing, that terrifying fluttery feeling where you feel like your heart is about to climb up out of your throat? It was amazing. His confession of his feelings, and Kurt's FACE! He looked so hopeful and yet nervous and maybe a little scared. And then the kiss! It was everything I could have hoped for and more! As soon as Blaine started to lean in I was up on my knees clutching the couch cushions. It was perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better scene in which Blaine tells Kurt how he feels. I'm glad they didn't have him sing his feelings, because it would have seemed so fake and not nearly appropriate, I think.
The moment between the kisses, when Blaine's all flustered but totally giddy was so adorable, and the the second kiss? It was like pure joy and all of those heart bursting feelings and elation poured into the tiniest little snippet of a kiss before they cut it off.
The rest of the episode, the DUET which was beautiful and perfect, all of their little moments, the looks and touches, the funeral! What Blaine said about getting each other out of it was perfect. It basically left no doubt as to their relationship at the end of the episode. I was in fangirl heaven. I still haven't come down from my squealing and jumping around craziness. I probably won't be able to sleep for hours. I will likely watch the kiss a thousand more times between now and the next episode which isn't for A MILLION YEARS! But they gave us such good stuff that I almost don't even care.
All-in-all I thoroughly enjoyed the whole episode (even the parts that weren't Klaine, despite the fact that I kept just wanting to be able to fast-forward through them and go back later once I got my fill of the Klaine). Regionals did not disappoint!
