*She looks around the silent classroom, raising her hand among a number of few others who were at the ball during the Death Eater attack. Listen attentively, amazed by how their Professor sounds wise*

*continuing* Consider the attack -- a breach of the trust placed in the safety of this place. What methods did the enemy use? What forms of Transfiguration might have been useful against them?

*Looks at the glowing line for a couple minutes, and smiles* Now that's smart. *Walks slowly to the classroom, not minding being late at all. She comes in halfway through the teacher's opening lecture and sits down somewhere near the back*

*takes SPECIAL notice of the latecomer and makes a mental note to specify an attendance policy at the end of class*

..*fixing her with a stare* You will find the topic of this discussion on Page 524.

*hasn't quite connected her with the whole 'sexy terrace' incident though he might, given time*

*Seeing him stare at her, Rikku quickly reached into her bag and took out her book. She flipped to the right page and fixed her gaze on it, softly humming a song to herself as she read*

*ignores the song, allows her to find the place before tossing out a question to the crowd at large*

If you had the time for one Transfiguration while those around you were being attacked, which would it be?

*perks up, actually for once more than vaguely interested in paying attention to the teacher of a class, settles into his chair, taking notes with avid interest as he listens to the teacher*

*and on that subject....*

In this class, the notes that you write will be no more than a guide. *looks over the class in general, laying the question open before them* Tell me why this is so.

*glances up from his note taking with a very slight smirk*
Perhaps because the notes, much like merely reading a book teaches merely the theory... Where as to learning the practical and actual application is more what should be learned.

Not trivializing the theory of course, but theory is nothing if you can't actually cast the spells... Am I correct? *curious*

*sees that smirk and files it away for future consideration*

Correct... in part.

*eyes him, waiting to see if he'll carry the train of thought further*

*He is glad to note that the room isn't in some lewd terrace is among the students indicating he was there, and easily falls into the lesson, being glad to have a CAPABLE teacher at the helm for one of his favorite classes*

*takes a half-step sideways, his movements deceptively slow*

You have all covered minor forms of human Transfiguration in your sixth year. Out of those skills, what is the first method you would use to attack another wizard?

[[*half inclined to try a one-thread-per-year format next time.... what do you think?*]]

*glances up when Zangetsu inquires, pausing before speaking aloud* ...It would depend on whether one was already engaged in battle with them. If guarding, one might transfigure themselves into a solid object to defend; but if attacking from close range, they could try a partial animal transfiguration into an offensive beast in order to disable the wizard. At long range, a similar effect could be achieved if one can transfigure their head into that of a dragon's; permitting them to breathe fire at the opponent, and if planning to elude the wizard, theoretically, one could transfigure a pair of wings to increase their mobility. *he ceased speaking for a moment before continuing* ...That is...assuming the person had the skill to perform those tasks quickly and efficiently.

[ooc: Yes, maybe? XD That would work nicely. Also! I put up a link to the Harry Potter wiki after seeing your comment, so I hope that helps! ...And I have no idea whether his answer is even vaguely right or not. 8D;; *flails* And I'm really going to stop editing this.

*is silent for a moment -- look at that, you've actually impressed him*

*nods, taking new note of this intense young man* And that assumption is crucial to your success.... *peers at him* As you are now, are those tasks within your skill?

[[Yosh! ^^ And yeah, that'll be a great help! Lol, it's a really subjective question. XD]]
