Hey, remember your first PC? eMachines eTower 333i - Intel Celeron 333MHz CPU, only 32MB RAM, a 20GB hard drive, and running running Win95. Even after I upgraded it wtih 256MB RAM and a 400MHz CPU, Photoshop, After Effects and 3D Studio Max absolutely craaaaaaawled on it, and we couldn't run anything else while they were loaded up.

These days, you can't find a computer that slow, without digging for antiques... Any time I build a PC for someone's kid, these days, I start at 1.2GHz and 1GB RAM, with 100GB HDD and a modest GPU. They all can run the entire Adobe Creative Suite, all at once. Not well, but it can.

One thing to consider, though, is that sometimes all these advantages can also be a disadvantage. Ever notice how folks who have everything handed to them, generally lack the quality of character of someone who worked hard to earn something?
