Doubletree really was a lot nicer, in so many regards. Staying there, and having Jeremey help out, made this one of the least grueling Acens, pretty much ever. The Hyatt Regency O'Hare is murder on my body and soul. I like running up and down stairs, for exercise, but the Hyatt's stairway isn't very nice, is often crowded, and is a lot harder to run up and down when you're carrying suitcases (because goodness knows the elevators are pretty much unusable during the con). Traveling back and fourth from the hotel to the convention center is also a pain, since the convoluted tunnel walkways were seemingly designed by M.C. Escher. Good riddance to the Hyatt - hail to the Doubletree!
Hopefully the con in Memphis turns out well. It certainly sounds like it has great potential. Wizard World should also be a real change of pace. Hopefully this is the start of things really falling in place for your business, and you can branch out to even bigger and more-profitable projects.
