Sounds like a great trip! Here's my suggestion -- unless you're a real gambler, you won't need three days in Vegas itself, but Vegas is a great jumping off spot to see some natural beauty. Spend one day visiting the Grand Canyon (North Rim) or Zion Canyon in Utah - both are within a 2-3 hour drive of Vegas, you could rent a car, or there are a number of organized tours offered to Vegas visitors.

Oh wow! I hope you have fun traveling around. I plan to start traveling this year or the next. I haven't had the chance to see what this country has to offer myself.

What ever you'll do, I'm sure it will be fine and fun. Just enjoy the sun in LA, and even it's enough. It's getting pretty cold in here. :P
