So a lot has gone on in the past few months but I've been pretty busy at work, what with training newbies and everything.  I haven't had much time or desire to do much of anything productive online while at home because the past few months have had me completely inundated with all the rigor of BUYING A HOUSE!

Yep.  My wife and I are finally ( Read more... )

LOL!

Welp - I'm just not gonna give up drinking. I moderate myself and don't get out of control so I'm better in that regard but I just enjoy it too much to cut it entirely.

Thanks for the kudos - it's a lot of hard work keeping this place up but it's SO worth it.

Congrats on the new house! It looks awesome!

All I have to say about your rent on apartment living is A-FUCKING-MEN!

Fuck inconsiderate neighbors, coin laundry, and people who can't knock on a god damn door! Plus why throw away $2200 a month when you can use that for a house? I don't like the thought of paying an arm and a leg for an apartment especially if it's anything over $1200. I rather have that huge chunk of change go towards a house.

Congrats to you both!! That is so awesome! Dude, what is wrong with Hollister? Do you ride dirtbikes :) I think the bay area is a total rip off. We are only in this house because we were able to qualify for half. We co-own it with Tim's parents. We had the opportunity to buy something, so we did. I know how insane rent is around here and we felt the same way. We started to even look across the bay at the time and could not even afford that. The awesome thing is that you two have a home now :) Right on. The place looks really nice! Hey, where did you find those magnetic salt and peppers? I hella need to get some.
Nice to hear the good news, take care!

Thanks!!! There's nothing wrong with Hollister except what people think. People are so damn dumb!

Anyway I like the quiet and the small town feel of Hollister so the commute is really the only drawback. Anyway, thanks for the nice comments and we got the salt & pepper thingies at Linens n Things - some of their stores are having a liquidation sale so you should jump on that shit like fast!
