it's called welcome, and the lyrics are good, but the way they're SUNG and the unconventional structure of the song and the instrumentals in the background are what make it so SUPERBLY amazing to me

I think the problem is, we all want to be good people, to help others and to make others feel loved, but we don't necessarily want to make meaningful sacrifices for that to happen. And the thing is, to say that we can always compromise between being happy and making a difference is complete bullshit - at some point we have to decide which is a higher priority. Should you choose happiness, you don't have to feel shitty for it, but you also need to be honest with yourself about what that means: It IS selfish. But that's okay, as long as you make your peace with it by recognizing where your true values lie. Should you choose to make a difference, you have to make your peace with not always being happy with what you get. Is it possible to find a balance? Maybe, but ultimately if you're still trying to find that balance, it's pretty clear you've already made your choice - you want to be happy.
