Who says you "need" to be a doctor? You can't do something just because someone else wants you to. That's why most people change their major, because they started doing something someone else wanted them to do, not what they wanted. At least, that's why I changed mine, and I'm much less stressed this semester.

BTW, in case you didn't know, I'm living at home this year, so you don't need to call off work to see me, I'm always around here somewhere, and I haven't seen you in forever.

I don't want to sell you to art school or anything, but it's not as bad as you make it out to seem either. One, if you go to school at all, it's expensive, there are some schools that are more and some that are less, but it's an expense. But, on the other hand, even if you go to art school, and let's just make this a poor scenario to prove my point, even if you graduate in Fine Arts and you have no idea what to do with that degree, the BFA of it will get you some jobs. Now, under the Arts section, when you go to school, you get the option of seeing a career counselor, therefore, they will help open up options. I went to AIB under the idea of going into Illustration, getting my BFA and not sure after that, but was thinking of working for illustrations in magazine, book covers, advertisements, children's books, etc. But I was also thinking of Art Therapy. I took one semester under Illustration before deciding to switch out. Technically, I made the switch today to Fine Arts. I really enjoy Illustration still, but I'm much more Fine Arts ( ... )

haha. its ok

im not sure how to reply to that. i dont like art so much as putting alot of work into it. i like doing photoshop kind of stuff. quick, easy to change/save. gets the point across, hopefully.
not that i dont want to write or paint of draw every noe and again. i do....but im so out of practice- i dont know where to start anymore.
dont necessarily want to go to school for it though.

i get what youre saying about school and all...but you knew what you wanted to do when you went--even though you changed your mind. i dont even have an idea what to do yet.
