Venting.
I am really not liking my new boss. Ok, wait not new. He's been here for like a year already. And he's not actually my boss, but he is a partner (law firm) so yeah, like a boss. Anyway AAGGGHHHHH! It's the little things. More and more is he getting on my nerves! He's got this whole cocky attitude. Well not exactly cocky, (I mean he IS a lawyer so being a slight ass is a given anyway), but it's like he thinks the whole world revolves around him and everyone should adjust themselves accordingly. ...Fucker. Yes, he's definetly on the dislike list.
Example? The other day my mom (the office admin/manager/paralegal) is off in a seminar. I only mention this because I get her job ON TOP of my own when she's gone. (My job? It's running the office. Just think of EVERYTHING except legal work) Anyway he chooses that day to come into my office asking for some copies of client billings. This isn't a problem. The fact that 30 seconds later he pops his fucking head in and says he's leaving in 5 minutes - IS! We had both been there for half the fucking day already!
And today? He comes to me, 'my stapler's broken'. 'I need a new one. Or maybe you can fix it?' Ok, not a problem. I can easily add to the list of supplies I need to order. 1 minute later (trying to act all nice -I keep getting fucking interrupted) 'it's no rush (yeah right) I've got my one I keep in my suitcase to hold me over'. *head desk* ( WAIT!) - I open the stapler take out the 1 -let me repeat ONE little staple that's caught in it, it comes out VERY easily, and low and behold it fucking WORKS!
He's also hosting our office Christmas party this year. Well by host I mean it's at his house and everyone else is organizing it. Yeah. Merry x-mas to me.
Speaking of how, many of you guys have your shopping done? Show of hands. ... If you thought I was implying that MINE was done you'd be dead wrong. Not one fucking thing. And I still don't want to think about that. I'll think about it on Sunday.
Now one of my f-list put a crazy bunny for x-mas icons in my head that will not go away. So I'm off to icon holiday cheer.
Hey, is any one going to be watching Leverage? With all the good shows being cancelled I'd hate taking the chance getting sucked into another one again just so it gets abandoned. But I mean it's KANE. So, damn. I know I'll be taping it.
