*still in jail, having learned as much as she could how to pick locks. Picks the one in her cell. Steps out the door, picks the lock of her next door neighbor, goes in and locks the door behind her.*

There this will make it easier to talk.

*the other prisoner stares at her with mouth agape for a minute then chuckles*

*Sheriff comes in and just stares for a moment, then shakes his head at her grin*

Okay, how did you do that?

*she explains how and gets him laughing by claiming she did so with a hairpin.*

*he asks why she didn't just escape and she tells him same thing she told her new cellmate.*

*he tells her of other escapees in the past. And then lets her know the things he doesn't like about it. She draws him out in conversation and he starts showing her pictures of his family. His wife, their 3 kids, the oldest grandchild.*

*he smiles as he takes away anything she could use to pick locks again*

I have to go back to work now, it was nice talking to you. See you later.
