I know, it's been almost a month since I posted, well, anywhere.

I've been a bit tied up on the after-work activities, so not a lot of time to actually participate in the greater journaling world.

But this is too good to pass up.

So instead on hiding the fact from the people, what the Mayor should have done is scream out loud "We have a giant shark! Come and see your giant shark right here!"

Man... Would've made the movie quite different though.

I was totally joking on Dreamwidth that this whole thing is exactly like "Jaws", except totally opposite.

In any case, this highlights why "Jaws" was totally in the realm of fantasy. The folks on Martha's Vineyard failed to figure out how to make tons of cash on the great white chomping machine.

I think if you search the Web for "great white" and "eating seals" you'll see some awesome pictures from last year that were taken on Cape Cod beaches. *sly grin*

Awesome.

Shark tours are a bit problematic here because you get the tourist operators pouring blood into the water to get the sharks around and ensure that the punters get a show.

Not the kind of thing you want happening off a swimming beach.

Took my Seattle friends to Phillip Island when they visited here a few years back - I'm still annoyed that there'd been a 7m great white nosing around the jetty and front beach only a couple of weeks before, and we missed it!
