It had been a while since the power change and things were finally starting to settle. That was, things were starting to settle for most people. The door opened to reveal a young woman wearing a dark violet top and a blood red skirt wrapped around her legs. Long, raven locks were tossed casually over one shoulder, and deep purple eyes gazed down at the short girl as if wondering what she was doing standing there. "Yes," came a minimal response from what should be a close friend. She waited, but only for a second. "Well, what do you want?"

Liz blinked at the new kind of Rei. Then blinked again at the cold and distant greeting. But she then gathered all her courage and directed a shy smile at her friend.

"R-Rei-chan... I... I wanted to see how you were doing..." Almost as an apology, Liz held out the bag with cookies. "I made these for you. They're your favourite..."

Unusually cold eyes stared down at the warm-hearted girl, boring down on her as if her very presence was a nuisance. She was unmoved by that smile. The small girl simply seemed weak and unsure, and in Rei's eyes she had no real reason to be bothering her.

"Don't call me 'Rei-chan'." With a firm backhand Rei slapped the cookies out of Liz's hands as they were offered, knocking them onto the floor. She continued her warning in a low tone. "I am not a child..."
